Physical Therapy

Physical therapy treatment is for people with an injury, physical disability, motor skill problem, movement problem or dysfunction, pain from an injury or any other problem related to body movement and physical function. Physical Therapists (PT'S), work with patients to determine appropriate treatment and rehabilitative program to help them in maintaining adequate muscle function and mobility.

PT's can specialize in certain fields so it's important to get the right person for your specific need. They will use stretching, exercise, education and many different techniques to prevent injuries, alleviate or slow down a degenerative effects from disease and injury, and help with injury recovery. PT's are trained to teach people to walk again after an accident, get up stairs and do the necessary tasks for daily living. They are also trained to fit people in wheelchairs, teach them how to use wheelchairs, how to transfer in and out of a wheelchair, bed, and/or car.
